Tonight I compared real relationships to those that exist between a company and its client. I was talking to a friend who works in business development, and he was saying that he broke up with his last girlfriend because he had convinced himself there was someone better out there for him.
“Yeah, maybe,” I replied, “but I mean, it’s way easier to keep an existing client than win new business. You should know that.’
He was appalled. I think it made perfect sense.
